How we check

Every event in the newsletter links to the page it came from, and its date comes from that page. For the guides, we read each place's own website and use only what the place says about itself, never reviews or ranked lists. A restaurant's price level is the median price of the main dishes on its posted menu, worked out from the menu itself. We recheck every guide about every three months, and when something has changed, we fix it.
